Report: Inter Miami set to name manager in the next two weeks.

Will either of these men be the first manager in club history?

As Inter Miami continues to gear up towards the 2020 season, there has been a slew of reports linking several high profile managers to the south Flordia club.

The latest from MLSsoccer.com states that Inter Miami is close to naming their head coach. Managing owner Jorge Mas has said that there will be an announcement later this month naming the first manager in club history.

If TNT Sports is anything to go by, then the final two candidates are Gennaro Gattuso, ex AC Milan coach, and Santiago Solari former Real Madrid caretaker.
It's looking more and more likely that Solari could be Inter Miami's first manager in club history. Sam Stejskal of The Athletic even confirmed that the club and Solari have already had talks last month, it's only a matter of time.

Solari brings a wealth of experience, both as a player and a manager. He speaks English and Spanish and has familiarity with the college soccer system here in the States which will play into Inter Miami's hands.

He plays a 4-3-3 with a very high press that looks to take advantage over turnovers. Solari is also great at promoting youth seeing as though he brought through Sergio Regulion, Vinicius Jr and Marcos Llorente during his time at the club.

Solari's wealth of knowledge will prove to be a huge building block at Inter Miami who already has 4 ninteen-year-olds on their roster. Promoting youth while mixing in a couple of veterans will play to Solari's strengths. If Inter Miami manages to sign him, the club is well on their way to becoming a powerhouse in MLS.
