Inter Miami preparing to sign two Zenit players

Inter Miami CF are reportedly close to signing two players from Russian side Zenit. The report comes from Russia, so excuse me if a bit of this is lost in translation. The two players that are close to coming to Miami are striker Sebastian Driussi and midfielder Matias Kranevitter.

Argentine mediator Alejandro Tarasyuk is in talks with Paul McDonough, and Tarasyuk is in talks with Zenit, who is in talks with Hernan Bergman, the player's agents. If you can understand the run-on of all sentences.

The number is apparently around $30 million and if it happens will add two more South American players to the Inter Miami core. Which makes sense given the direction that Inter Miami are going, building a South American core and likely adding a South American manager.

The direction and foundation of the team are beginning to take shape and its a lovely one to see. A young, South American centered team with a couple MLS and European veterans mixed in is a tantalizing prospect.
